Q: How does wash and fold pricing work at Laundry on Keap?A: $1.55 per pound for standard next-day wash and fold. $2.05 per pound for same-day if booked before 2 PM. We weigh your laundry on intake and bill by the actual pound. Pickup and delivery is a flat $7.49 each way on top of the per-pound rate.

Q: What is the minimum order for wash and fold?A: 10 lb minimum for in-store drop-off. 20 lb minimum for pickup and delivery  Most full hampers come in around 18-30 lb — about a week of clothes for one person, or a few days for a family.

Q: How long does wash and fold take?

A: Standard turnaround is next day. Same-day is available (for a fee) if you drop off or schedule a pickup before 2 PM - back by 8 PM that day. No rush charge for next-day; same-day adds $0.50/lb. For guaranteed same-day service, please call us before placing your order.

Q: What detergent do you use?

A: We use a locally manufactured commercial detergent with a light scent and good stain removal properties for our standard wash and fold service. The second most popular option is a slightly higher quality unscented detergent, which has performed extremely well for us at .10 per lb.

We also stock Tide, Gain, Heritage Park, Biolabs, Seventh Generation, Downy, Dreft,  Oxiclean, Arm & Hammer  products. If we dont have your detergent feel free to BYOD. let us know you sent it in the notes. *we cannot guarantee the cleanliness of BYOD products.

Q: What are your standard wash settings?

A: Our default is a cold-water wash with a lightly scented detergent and a medium-heat dry. This protects color and fabric across the widest range of garments.All items will be washed in the largest machine available, if you would like white clothing/delicates/wool garments/washable silks hang dried please make sure to select the appropriate modifier when placing your order. Feel free to text or call us about your order. Splitting loads, hang drying, low heat drying, delicates and large bedding items will typically have an additional charge.Q: What if my laundry has stains?A: We do basic spot treatment as part of every order. for the one off grease stain, please set the item at the top of your bag and leave us a note. We employ enzymatic & surfactant stain remover sprays followed by oxiclean or peroxide treatment. Please select the stain treatment option if sending in multiple heavily stained items. Q: Do you wash comforters and bedding?

A: Yes. Down comforters are $23.99 each (separate from per-pound pricing because they take up our largest machines). Down Alternative Comforters, Pillows, Dog Beds, and Mats have additional fees. please see pricing. Sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers can go in your regular wash and fold. Down or feather comforters welcome and receive a cold wash with down specific conditioning detergent. It is air dried for 12 hours then fluffed on Low. We stain treat and gently whiten the fabric as well.

Q: Do you separate whites, darks, or delicates?

A: In order to keep our service affordable we wash each customer's bag as a single load by default. We don't split loads unless requested. Whites splitting is $6 and includes a bleach or OxiClean wash - select it when placing your order if you want your whites separated or washed with bleach (chlorine or non-chlorine available). We also hang dry up to 8 items per order - separate them in your bag and let us know when ordering. Delicate items should be placed in a mesh delicate wash bag before drop-off; bags are available at the front counter and we include them with most pickup orders. Items in a delicate bag are washed on gentle cycle and air-dried where possible.

Q: Do I need to be home for delivery?

A: We recommend being home to receive your order. If you can't be, leave us a building or door code so our Uber courier can drop it behind your door, or we'll leave it with your doorman. We text when your order is on the way.

Q: Is Laundry on Keap an app service that washes clothes in someone's home?

A: No - we're a real laundromat at 449 Keap St. Unlike gig apps that send your laundry to a contractor's home washer, every order is processed on-site on well-maintained commercial equipment with professional-grade detergents and stain treatments.

Q: Can I leave a card on file?

A: Yes - a card on file makes drop-off and pickup effortless. If you have any trouble placing an order online, call us at (917) 909-1444 and we'll take care of it. 

Q: Do you separate whites and colors?

A: Yes, on request. Just add a note to your order or tell the attendant at drop-off and we'll wash whites and colors separately. For small orders we charge a split fee between $5 and $7 when requested.

A: Yes, on request. Please send delicates in a separate bag, up to 8 items per bag; each additional item is charged per item.

Q: Can I bring my own detergent?

A: Yes, you're welcome to bring your own, though we can't guarantee the effectiveness of the wash with customer-supplied detergent.
